What is liposuction recovery like?

Following your liposuction surgery, you'll be fitted with specialized compression garments designed to minimize swelling and bruising while helping your body adapt to its new contours. Most patients resume light activities just a week post-surgery, with a return to more vigorous exercise expected after 3 to 4 weeks.

Ideal liposuction candidates are in good overall health and close to their goal weight but frustrated by stubborn fat deposits that resist diet and exercise. Dr. Hoffman also ensures lipo patients have good skin elasticity and realistic expectations before recommending the procedure.
